This, my first image, I spent the most time out of all my images, just doing nothing. Well thats not entirely true, I was thinking about how to go about producing my idea using photoshop.

I really liked this image, the idea that technology is transforming into nature, the more advanced it gets. Using an image of an Apple iPod, which is a very widely used portable media player, newer versions of which can play video, pictures and music. If you don't own an iPod, no doubt you'll know someone that does. For this reason, its widespread popularity and use, I thought it a good symbol to use, the symbol of the forefront of technology.

It is widely thought that if we do not cut carbon emmisions and decrease our individual carbon footprints that we will very soon be unable to undo the damage that we have cause to our planet. Our demand for faster and better and smaller technologies is fuelling the demise of our planet, and so the text I chose to use captures both the primary audio capabilities of this technology, as it was designed for this, but also for the destruction that it causes to our planet. I echoed this in the colouring, showing the lush greens of our planet being faded into black nothingness. I feel that this is a powerful image for those who have the time to be concerned.
