It is often said that children are the worst victims of poverty which is why our kitchens at the primary schools are so important. In 2004 a further three kitchens were opened at Guguletu, Lower Crossroads and Lavender Hill - recently Leyden Primary School in Delft welcomed a kitchen at their school. WARMTH now has a total of 15 kitchens based at primary schools and 42 kitchens in total. The dedicated Kitchen Operators serve food from 8 am – 4 pm Monday to Friday without fail. Many start working at 6 am to prepare the food for people going to work and children going to school.
